Climate specialist Inteco has committed itself as a silver partner to the Unica Foundation for three years. During the Welloop, the annual relay race of the Unica Foundation, the company expressed the intention to support the foundation for the next three years. The silver partnership was signed this spring.
Inteco provides climate solutions with a distinctive character. In addition, the company uses climate ceilings, induction units and hybrid climate ceilings to deliver these solutions. The climate experience of Inteco fits the comfort needs of people, the aesthetic eye of a designer and the technical requirements of a building. Through its own R&D, engineering, production and assembly, Inteco is able to implement every project as a tailor-made job. The company’s headquarters are located in Boxtel (The Netherlands), but Inteco is also internationally active in Luxembourg, Belgium and Denmark, among others.
As one of the regular suppliers of technical service provider Unica, Inteco was introduced to the activities of the Unica Foundation last year. The pragmatic approach of the foundation particularly appealed to the company. “The residents help themselves, the projects have a direct effect and are sustainable because they are constantly monitored,” learned Paul Ruijgrok from Inteco during the introduction. It is precisely this type of relatively small projects that he believes have a great impact on society. “Attention is paid to training, language and hygiene; basic skills to help them provide for their own livelihood in a better way. Because the bare necessities of life are realized at a base level, other possibilities arise. There now is time for development for those involved in other areas.”
For these reasons, Paul sees the support of the Unica Foundation as a beautiful interpretation of the CSR idea of Inteco. “For us, this collaboration is a clarification of our CSR objectives. The Unica Foundation is not just about speaking and describing, but about actually doing it! Local, direct, tangible and with positive feedback from the projects. Nothing is misappropriated.” On behalf of the Unica Foundation, Edwin Koers confirmed the partnership. He is enthusiastic about the interest shown by Inteco in the activities of the foundation. “Inteco has really studied what we do for the communities in Nepal. It is a conscious choice for them to support our activities and thus contribute to their social objectives. Naturally, we are very happy with that!”
