The Dutch Maya Foundation is active in the Harpan Valley outside Pokhara. Unica Foundation supported several project as household biogas systems and improving cooking stoves (ICS). The Maya Foundation recently expanded her project by constructing a sewing workshop including training for 10 woman. After successfully finishing the training these woman will become owner of a sewing machine. In addition to the previous projects we also support this project.
The idea is that the woman will become owner of the workshop by means of a micro finance system. In the end of 2009 the construction had started. From mid 2010 the workshop should be fully working.
